About Me

I have 25 years of experience writing, editing, and consulting for individuals, businesses, and academia. I hold a B.A. in English Literature, a J.D. with specialization certificates in environmental and public interest law, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Applied Psychology. For ten years after passing the CA Bar Exam, I wrote legal and human resources documents, handled in-house corporate communications, and consulted on, created, and implemented internal and external communications for Fortune 500 companies. I wrote and edited hundreds of documents across multiple genres, for diverse audiences. And I reworked numerous, complex communications into user-friendly language.

I now spend my time editing books, journal articles, and dissertations; helping undergraduate students and PhD candidates with their writing; and tutoring elementary through high school students in reading and writing. I also keep my legal research and writing skills sharp for the multitude of friends and family members who come to me for legal help.

I thoroughly enjoy the entire range of my work. I pride myself on my attention to detail, the easy rapport I establish with my clients, and my ability to write and edit efficiently and effectively while retaining the author's true voice.

When I am not working, you can find me in the garden or with my nose in a book (trying not to reach for my red pen to correct errors and note discrepancies).
